07 Sep How Do I Grow My Facebook Group?
Facebook groups are an awesome strategy to help you grow your online business and help you to sell out your services. My facebook group is responsible for over 90% of my clients and helped me to sell out my coaching practice. The Impact Driven Entrepreneur Community has grown from 0 to over 1K members in just 7 months (without ads). In this blog post, I will share with you some of the ways that you too can grow a Facebook group so that you can sell out your coaching practice without using paid traffic.
The first step is to get super clear on the purpose of the group and what you will want it to be for.
Here are some questions you can ask yourself to get clarity about the group:
- Who is your ideal client?
- What does your ideal client need from a group?
- How can you add your own unique twist to a community that your ideal clients would love and is different than what is out there?
If you don’t know who the group is for, have a purpose for the group and a unique spin for your group it becomes really difficult to promote it on social media.
There are two types of content that you will need to create for your group. First is content for the members of the group and second is content to promote your group. Most moms when they come to me are creating themed days for their group and even additional content for the group but are not creating content to promote their group.
Think of it like this, if you are doing awesome stuff inside of your group and no one knows the awesome stuff then the group only has a limited ability to grow.
Promoting your Facebook Group does not necessarily lead to sales since they are joining a free group. For you to get sales from your Facebook Group you will want to check out my free download “How to sell in Facebook Groups (Even if they don’t allow promotion) without being sleazy”.
Anytime that you are marketing your business through content, interviews and guest posts you can mention your group and what the community is like. Remember that you are inviting them to a free community and that it’s totally not spammy to do this as long as your talk about the benefits of joining. The key is to mention what they will get in the group. What is in it for them?
When I mention the Impact Driven Entrepreneur Community I say “Get daily business lessons and a community of go-getter mom entrepreneurs that won’t let motherhood slow them down from achieving success on their own terms”.
Make it easy to join
Simple things that you put in place can make a big difference. I like to use bit.ly to shorten the URL and make it easy to add the link in your bio and say out loud in videos. You can use this link in your bio, add it as a cover photo and add the link there as well.
