A few weeks ago I talked about “How to keep your group program engaged” on episode #40 and that week many of you reached out to me in the Impact Driven Entrepreneur Group requesting more info on how to actually fill your group program.
I am going to run down some of the key points in this post and podcast. I will also invite you to actually fill your group program with me together inside of The Fill Your Group Program Free Challenge.
#1- Create an irresistible offer
Your offer is what you are selling. How you position it in the marketplace. The problem your program solves.
The offer must be
- ultra clear
- actually irresistible to your ideal clients
When we are looking at why something is not selling, the 80/20 rule does apply. Out of everything that someone does to promote and sell their program the offer is about 80% of the success rate of that program. If people don’t want what you are selling they will never buy it no matter what else you do in the launch. Your offer must be ironed out really well for your program to sell.
#2- Launch Goals
You will have to do a launch to sell a group. This is not something that you can just put on your website and hope it sells….OR do a few FB posts and hope it sells. I have taken dozens of marketing courses specifically ones around launching and they would always say “just spend x on ads” and I was like…um okay. But how am I getting the capital for that?
So I developed my own formula for what I call the rolling launch. Which is my unique strategy to get sales in the door before you ever do a marketing launch. Amazing right…start a launch with sales in the door.
When I say marketing launch essentially I mean a webinar, challenge, video series or email sequence. It’s the process that you would use to get a person from being a regular person out in the world to a clIt’st. Its predictable and measurable every step of the way.
#3- Lead Generation
The best sales people already know who they will sell to way before they even launch.
You must have some real live people to sell to rather than just post and pray. When I have my clients launch I encourage them to get 1-3 sales in the door before they ever do a marketing launch so that they can invest this capital into the launch + validate their idea (if its a new program).
Lead generation also allows you to see abundance as well because if you have a list of 50 people and your launch goal is 10 sales it makes the goal more attainable. Also, this is where most online courses completely fail. They don’t teach you the mix of sales and marketing and that is truly what sets me apart from any other online marketer out there. More on that in the audio.
#4- Scale sustainably
You need a strategy for your launch that will allow you to scale (reach a new audience) without going bankrupt on advertising costs. There is a method to spending thousands on advertisement. But you must be smart about how you scale.
I worked with a fabulous coach who had an MBA and I asked her once- what is the #1 thing you learned in your MBA program and she said…The #1 reason that most businesses fail is because they scale too quickly. So although you do want to scale your business and fill out your group program the best way to do this is through smart scaling and I will teach you how to do that.
In summary, In order to fill your group you will want to have an irresistable offer. This is an offer that your people are dying to have and craving! Its also really important that you go into your launch with launch goals and that way you know what you put into the launch will actually yield the results you want. You also will need to do lead generation, getting real live people who are a perfect fit for your program. Lastly you want to make sure you scale sustainably.
